I just bought an XBOX Wireless Receiver. I (had to) manually install the file Path:(Software/setupstb.exe) from the mini-CD. And of course searched for an update after reboot. I have the interface working i.e.(small widget at bottom of screen), but my wireless controller will not connect... To save us ALL time, please keep in mind that I have spent about 7 hours on this problem. I re-synced the controller on my XBOX, it works fine. And the controller itself was bought new in 2009. I have read the many other Questions revolving around this Receiver, and wireless controller. What gives bro? I have provided some DXDIAG info and screenshots. The screenshot shows how I have to force the download of the Wireless Receiver's Driver, so that it can be read... Am I confused? SideNote: The (small widget) and its programming seems to be working fine, it was running while I took the screenshot (below). Take pitty! And thank you!
---- AAAAActually, I can't post a picture, so... The name of the Receiver Driver that I have been trying is (XBox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1349[8/13/2009]) I manually installed this through the Windows Common Controller For Windows Class.
